I recently re-watched The Aviator by Martin Scorsese with Leonardo DiCaprio as Howard Hughes and I can't believe that I've all but forgotten about this pearl of a movie. I find it to be an extremely inspirational movie and Howard Hughes seems like the ultimate kind of crazy guy to tell off all the average naysayers of the world. It also a very funny movie which is gold in the genre we call drama; especially since the movie at times gives me One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest vibes because of all the crazy stuff. In fact I like this Scorsese/Leo collaboration a lot more than the recent Shutter Island, mostly because it doesn't rely as much on atmosphere and setting, instead it focuses on telling select parts of an interesting life story. I recommend everyone to check this movie out since I really get the sense that this is an overlooked movie that deserves more attention.

I'll watch this asap >_<
Gud!
It's a good movie the aviator, haven't seen it in a while though.. But one flew over the cuckoo's nest, I mean after reading the book how can you possibly like the movie? The book is ten times better than the movie..
