I've come to believe that consoles are silly locked systems that work with some genres but for the general core experience I think that any core game would fit much better on the PC with it's higher graphic fidelity, moddablity that allows you to customize most details of your game, and finally that it's an open system that encourages innovation and has always been known to push the boundaries. I'll point out that countless series that are huge on consoles today had their start on the PC platform, either as series or the developers started there, games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Halo, Bioware, Rockstar, Epic Games the list goes on.
So in today's multiplatfrom climate where sadly the PC doesn't get to be lead platform that often anymore, it still baffles me how many of the best multiplat games end up having the best version on the PC. I can understand that PC lead platform games shine above the rest because of the push in technology the PC represents. However even games that were released in a gimped consolized form on the PC, such as Mass Effect 2 below for example, end up modded and improved with the result being that the console version looks worse than the PC counterpart.

However I want to talk about the real PC exclusives or lead platform games with this blog entry - the games that really shine on the PC platform so to say. I want to educate people what PC games look like today and how far ahead they generally tend to be compared to consoles when it comes to tech and graphics. I also want to mention that contrary to common belief you can connect your Xbox/PS3 controller to a PC and your PC to your 50" 1080p HDTV and have most of the console experience at home (if not all) if you have a preference for playing in your sofa; a culture I might add that rapidly seems to be dying on the consoles for which it was created due to the insane push towards gimicky (motion) controllers. So let me demonstrate why the PC blows me away with a few select games and the screenshots I took which of course are all in-game. Enjoy!

that's a huge fucking difference. just look at her face. :0
Her tattoos look like Rorschach blobs is the thing that bothers me the most. I also got hit with how blurry the graphics were when I saw the game on 360, but I guess it's considered graphic-whoring today when you have expectations for games not to look like blurry messes in the so called console HD generation.
tell me about it, I've never seen what they're supposed to depict at all before.
I know, I think I'm driving my consolified class mates insane with my standards on what constitues for good graphics :P
